펜데믹 관련 의료 폐기물의 위기

 

Although the first year of pandemic brought with it environmetal benefits, like less air and water pollution, the second year revealed serious problems in terms of medical waste.

The World Health Organization (WHO) released a report about the negative impact the glut of personal protective equipment and billions of vaccination syringes have had.

The report said many hospitals were ill-equipped to properly dispose of these items in such large quantities.

One top of that are the billons of disposable masks that now litter streets, waterwyas, and landfills.

the WHO said these problems must be addressed before another health crisis emerges.

 

전염병 대유행의 첫 해에는 공기와 수질 오염 감소와 같은 환경적 이점이 있었지만, 두 번째 해에는 의료 폐기물 측면에서 심각한 문제가 드러났습니다.

세계보건기구(WHO)는 개인 보호 장비의 과잉과 수십억개의 백신 주사기가 끼친 악영향에 대한 보고서를 발표했습니다.

보고서에 따르면 많은 병원들이 이러한 물품들을 대량으로 적절하게 처리할 수 있는 장비가 갖춰져 있지 않았습니다.

그뿐만이 아니라 현재 거리오 수로, 쓰레기 매립지에 버려지는 수십억 개의 일회용 마스크가 있습니다.

WHO는 또 다른 보건 위기가 발생하기 전에 이러한 문제들을 해결해야 한다고 말했습니다.
